Helping People Help People

Voluntier is a free tool for nonprofits to run volunteer events, and for volunteers to find them and keep a record of their hours.

Hours recorded on Voluntier

Recorded at the door — by a rotating code on the coordinator screen, a scan, or a location check — or added by the organization. Each hour says which.

Why we built this

Most volunteer coordination still runs on spreadsheets, sign-in sheets and group texts. Hours get lost, reports take a weekend, and volunteers have nothing to show for the time they gave.

Voluntier puts it in one place: post an event, take registrations, check people in with a QR code, and produce the reports a nonprofit needs for grants and its board.

It is free for nonprofits, and it stays free.

How it works

Three things we get right

Simple by default

Posting an event takes a minute. Registering takes a tap. Checking in is a scan at the door.

Built for small organizations

Most nonprofits have no IT staff. Nothing here needs setup, training, or a credit card.

Hours you can stand behind

Every hour carries how it was recorded — scanned at the event or credited by the organization — with a timestamp. Reports show the split.

Where we are

Voluntier is new and based in Philadelphia. We are working with a small number of partner organizations first, and building from what they need.

If you run a nonprofit and want to try it, get in touch.
